Coffeeshop The Rookies was founded in 1992 in Amsterdam by the youngest Bar-Coffeeshop owners at the time, that’s one off the main reasons why they called it The Rookies.
We like to see The Rookies as a international coffeeshop, where the locals love to hang out.
Our family has been in Amsterdam for over 200 years so we love to share the real Amsterdam experience with you all.
It was a Bar-Coffeeshop from 1992 until 2007, after that time the government did not allow selling alcohol and Cannabis at the same location.
We had to make a decision and we chose to continue on as a coffeeshop.
